PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT , 2005
The Self portrait series I created to look at the various influences caused by types of drugs over human faces and gestures.
Self portrait as the method is an ethical solution, as well as aesthetic strategies in the search for the limits of documentary photography, as this medium is controlled outside "normal" state of consciousness due to the use of drugs.
"Stimulants Face" is the work of my final project at the Jakarta Art Institute, Faculty of Film and Television, Department of Photography. But in "High in Motion", I combine the old pictures that I made under the influence of drugs, with four (4) new photo that I made, as if I were under the influence of drugs.
